Dear All,
We’re pleased to announce that team pre-registration for the 2026 Beamline for Schools (BL4S) competition is now open!

What is Beamline for Schools?
Beamline for Schools is a physics competition for high-school students from all around the world.
Teams are invited to design an experiment they would like to perform at a particle accelerator.
What can you win?
Five winning teams will be selected. Two teams will perform their experiments at CERN (Switzerland), two at DESY (Germany), and one at the University of Bonn (ELSA).
There will also be additional prizes for up to 50 shortlisted teams. More details: https://beamlineforschools.cern/prizes/
Why pre-register?
Pre-registration allows you to receive updates about online Q&A sessions, join virtual visits to CERN, DESY and ELSA, and get tips and resources to prepare your proposal
The official proposal submission opens in January 2026, and the deadline is
📅 13 March 2026 at 23:59 CEST.
